Well, this past month was manistry month. In other words all 10 of us guys were together. I won’t lie, I was a little nervous going into the month I thought that it might become some kind of ego contest where everyone tried to one up each other, but it wasn’t. In fact it wasn’t like that at all. We all supported each other and loved each other really well. We pushed each other to make the most of the month, and it worked. The month was amazing. We saw the Holy Spirit moving so much. At first the month was a little slow, there wasn’t much ministry. We sat around a lot and it was just kind of a lazy month, but around halfway that switched. We called each other out on it. We decided that we didn’t want to waste an entire month, especially not the only month we were all together. Another thing happened too though. For on of the team times we watched the Holy Ghost movie, and it stirred us. We saw how the Holy Spirit could move, and the amazing things that happen when he does, and we wanted that. The next day we went out into the community and had one of the best days of ministry that I have had so far on the race. It was amazing, we prayed healing over people and although we didn’t see hearings we saw people change. We prayed over a man who had had a stroke 10 years ago and loss most of the use of his legs. His legs were weak and he needed help to walk. When we prayed over his legs he said that he felt muscle moving, and even though they were not fully healed he said that in the past 10 years he had never felt that before.
So part of our ministry was going to the African Vision of Hope school and do an assembly each day. Basically we would get to the school around 9:30, go into the community around for a while, get back to the school by 11:30am, do the assembly, and then go get lunch. At the assembly we would sing a few songs, tell a Bible story and act it out, and then explain the message behind it. Well a couple days after kind of turning the month around we were there and I didn’t have a roll in the assembly, so I was near the corner of the school, near the road that goes into the community. I got a sudden feeling that I should go on a walk. I didn’t know what for, I just thought, “I should just go on a short walk.” I though that maybe it was the Holy Spirit, but I wasn’t sure, so I asked that He would give me a sign if He wanted me to talk to someone or pray for someone or something. Well about 50 yards down the road splits. I got to the fork in the road and felt like I wasn’t supposed to go past it, so I turned around and started walking back. As I made my way back I heard some kids shouting to get my attention. When I looked at them they pointed back towards the fork in the road, and there was a man calling me over to his house, which just so happened to be directly at the split. When I got there he started talking to me, and it turned out that he was a Reverend. He told me that he had a man in his house that had been sick for 4 months, and I thought, “oh, this is it I guess,” then he told me that the man was healed, and I thought, “maybe not then, huh God?” He asked me to come into the house, he wanted me to meet the man, Brian was his name. When we got in the house Reverend Isaac had me sit down and called Brian out. As soon as Brian stepped out of his room I knew. I knew that he was who God called me there for. I didn’t know why because apparently he was healed, but I just knew, I was there for Brian.
I will write another post about what happened with Brian, it was truly amazing. But in the mean time please pray for our squad as we travel to Malawi for our debrief and our last month in Africa. And please feel free to contact me if you wanna know more about how everything’s been going. That you for all of your support!
