Malaysian Jungle Part 3

God is so good and His pursuit is relentless! Throughout the race I have shared about a team member who was really struggling with forgiving herself, with her salvation and the fact that HER sins are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. She could share all day the Good News to other people and believe that their sins are forgiven, but she had a hard time forgiving herself and truly believing that God accepts her… Well, on Good Friday after I preached on the meaning of Good Friday and Jesus Crucifixion she came up to the team and explained that God revealed to her that HER SINS ARE COVERED!! and now she truly believes that she will be in heaven for eternity!! Thank you Lord for your goodness and constant pursuit!!

In the jungle, there was a lot of spiritual warfare that went on… So please keep them in your prayers! There is a witch doctor in one of the other tribes that we didn’t get a chance to visit, but several of us prayed for her daily… We didn’t realize it at first, but after we arrived just about every one of us started to have nightmares and bad dreams… Also, another very strange occurrence was just about every one of the village males from the Pastor to his son and son in law onto the village, every one of the males had this cold/flu bug… There wasn’t one female in the village who felt sick… Thank the Lord that no females got sick! As for our teams, none of us had the bug, but a few people had some minor issues. Thank the Lord that it wasn’t anything too bad!

Something great thing the Lord taught several of us and myself goes along with the great quote from St. Francis “Preach the Gospel always, if necessary use words.” I didn’t realize how powerful this quote really meant until about the last few days we were there and it hit me on a whole other level! We had a translator for about the 1st week and then the last two it was just the villagers and us. We were in the middle of a jungle, don’t have any idea where we are at, don’t understand anything that is said, kids running around naked and there is nothing of the norm anywhere around you… Those of you that have been somewhere like this know that they watch every single step you take! They imitate you, repeat what you say, do what you do, etc… The quote couldn’t have been more fitting for our three weeks there. “Preach the Gospel always, if necessary use words.” Amen!
