I still remember the Monday night in January when the Lord put the World Race on my heart. Three years prior I heard about this 11 month opportunity but the timing wasn’t right. After watching the “So I Go” video on youtube I knew this was where God wanted me. The next day I was in constant prayer just to be sure that this is where I needed to be. It seems like it was yesterday.

Four months later training camp was here and now another month later launch is about over. These last five months have flown by. My parents drove to launch with me and stayed for the parent meetings. Yesterday I said “see ya later” to two incredible parents who have supported me through the whole World Race process. At first I think both were hesitant about me doing something like this. What parents want to see their kid quit their job, leave a life of comfort for the unknown and not get to see their kid for 11 months.

The second day at launch all of the parents who came and racers got an opportunity to worship together. It was the first time I got to see my parents at launch. You would’ve thought both were about to leave on the World Race. Both were talking about what they had been doing and how much fun they had. They were able to learn more about where the Lord has called me and what I’ll be doing. This journey isn’t just for me but also for them. I can’t wait to see the ways the Lord uses and grows them. Couldn’t have asked for better, more supportive godly parents.

Now that the parents have left it’s time to head out to the nations. Tomorrow morning all 4 squads will be flying out to our first country to begin the 11 month journey. I just ask that you keep all 4 squads in prayer for safety and also that the good news of the gospel will be changing lives that we encounter. Where there is Light, darkness MUST flee.

We will be flying out to Nepal tomorrow morning. Right now I’m at 78% funded and I have until January 1, 2015 to be fully funded. Thank you for all the support and prayers.

It’s about that time. Let’s go.
