Hey Everyone.
We have been in Penang, Malaysia about two weeks now. It has been an interesting two weeks. Everyone speaks English here! It's crazy. I thought I would never hear English again. It was actually a shock being able to communicate without the use of a translator.
This month, I have been working at a coffee shop called Just Caffe (short for Justice). It is run by some people in YWAM and all the proceeds go to different organizations that fight to stop injustice. And instead of a table number, you get a different superhero. The cafe has been slow lately, so it could use some prayers that more business would come.
We have had an amazing time building an amazing relationship with Yishen, who just opened a restaurant called Heaven's Gate. He is an amazing person with such a big servants heart. I told him last night I was a Christian, but a large table came in and he got busy, but he seemed like he wanted to talk more about it. I will defenently be going back! And he has been kind enough to let me put some fliers for Just Caffe in Heaven Gate. So if you are ever in Penang, go eat at his restaurant.
Other ministries that the rest of the people here (Team Gateway and Jehovah Nissi) have been numerous. There was a art show called LUMA (https://www.facebook.com/luma.net.my) that some people helped set up for. There is a hospital ministry. This consists of praying for the patients and fundraising money to help people who need heart surgeries but can't afford them. And there is Kawan, which is a ministry that serves food and ministers to the homeless. Overall it has been a very busy month.
We found out our next country is Cambodia, which I am extremely excited for. I do still need a little over $1,600 to continue after January 1st. The Lord has put me on this trip and while it has been difficult, I know there is a lot more in store. If you feel led to donate, there is a Support Me link on the left or a check can be mailed and made out to Adventures in Missions with my name in the memo line. Prayers for strength and fundraising are defenently encouraged too. And if you have any fundraising ideas, please feel free to contact me.
