SOOO I have no idea how to write a blog. I'm pretty much just going to wing it.
I feel like I have a lot of posting to catch up on (and well lets face it I have alot of fundraising to catch up on), but I am going to start with who I am.
I live in Anchorage, Alaska. And I am going to school for an early childhood education degree. Finally senior year!!! Which means I basically procrastinate until the last minute to do everything, don't follow my example.
I have three amazing roommates that bless me everyday: Sara, Molly, and Amber. Yes, it can be a challenge living with so many girls but the pros outweigh the cons everyday!! We decided to live with so many of us because A) we are broke college students and B) we wanted to live in a community atmosphere where we can support and challenge one another. Also we have this open door policy, where basically anyone is welcome, even if they need a place to crash for the week.
I come from a pretty big family, I have 4 siblings, and a ton of nieces and nephews. But more importantly I think I should tackle some facts and fictions about Alaska. See the bottom for the answers 🙂
1. I ride polar bears to school. Fact or fiction
2. It has already snowed here (don't cheat by googling)
3. I eat whale blubber.
4. I eat nothing but wild game.
5. Moose are our pets.
6. I live in an igloo.
7. 60 degree weather is summer.
8. I never see the sun.
9. I shoot my dinner off my back porch.
10. We call snow mobiles, snow machines.
1. Fiction
2. Fact: pretty sure this is the earliest I remember it snowing
3. Fiction: but I have had the opportunity to eat some, I was to chicken 🙂
4. Fact: I try my hardest to not eat store bought meat. Sometimes I still have to though. Caribou is my FAVORITE
5. FICTION!
6. FICTION!
7. This summer that was a Fact
8. Fiction: although it does get to only 3 hours of day light in the middle of winter
9. Fiction: but I would if it wasn't illegal….
10. Fact, if you don't want to sound like a tourist in the winter time, ALWAYS call it a snow machine.
