Hello out there! I am writing to you from Lima, Peru. My team and I are serving with a church called Camino de Vida this month. I love Peru! The people are so nice and they greet everyone with a kiss on the cheek. It’s incredibly sweet. I will have more of an update on all that in my next blog. BUT FIRST, a Packing List.

I know you are all dying to know what one packs in a 65 liter backpack for an entire year. Well you’re in luck, because I’m going to tell you! No, but really, I was super interested in knowing what people packed so I am hoping this blog will be helpful to some and insightful to others!

**Let me add that as I’m typing this blog, my computer keeps shocking me. Anggelo, the guy that’s staying with us the month, keeps laughing at me. I thought something was biting me and kept freaking out and then realized it was my computer. I’m not sure why it’s doing this, but he told me it’s fine (through a translation app on his phone). OKAY.**

Here I am, with my whole life in a bag on my back (and my front) :

And there you have it, folks. What I packed for my World Race. I’m positive I overpacked! I plan on re-visiting this about a month before I come home and posting what I wish I had packed and what was unnecessary. If you’re wondering how I packed all of that stuff into those two bags, I DON’T EVEN KNOW. lol.

I have only been in Peru for one week, but I am already seeing how hard it is to live off of what I have. Which in turn, makes me feel like an incredibly spoiled American. The Lord is working on me. Amen for that!

Ps. Thanks mom for the moral support as I packed and panicked. You tha bomb.

Until next time, Ciao!
