What a week it has
been!
There has been a superfluity of activities that our team has been
involved in, some of which have been completely new to my race. Check it out:

BEING ON
THE RADIO!
Check out this blog to read about how our team got to be on
the radio here in Timisoara and what we talked about. It was a very unique and
fun experience!

VISIT TO A
DUTCH ORPHANAGE!
Orphanages are nothing new to me as I’ve visited one in
almost every country I’ve been to, however, speaking Dutch to the orphanage
administrator is an enjoyable occurrence. A woman from Holland is the executive director of the
home, she moved to Romania from the Netherlands in 1999 and now takes care of
eleven children in the home on the outskirts of Timisoara. She speaks fluent
Dutch, English, and Romanian. Some of the older children speak fluent Dutch as
she speaks it to them. It’s especially helpful for the volunteers coming
from the Netherlands to assist in work that is done around the home as the Dutch
volunteers can communicate with the children there. All eleven children attend
school and its her aspiration for them to attend school and work in Romania
to better the society here instead of moving to Western Europe or somewhere
else.

SPECIAL CHURCH
SERVICES!
On Sunday we went to the morning and evening services at the
Rock Church, the church that we are serving with our time in Timisoara. On Sunday
morning each of us shared about a World Race country that we had been on the
congregation. The sermon was streamed live and recorded so you can check out
our stories here. The evening service was really special too, as there was a
group of professional singers there from Arad. Their singing was really
beautiful and they were a blessing to all that listened. Lastly, at the end of
the service, there were two baptisms as one man and one woman entirely gave
their lives to Christ and were dunked in a tank with the two pastors in front
of the church. It was an extraordinary happening, and I was happy to have
witnessed it. They have these kind of “baptism services” once every two months
or so. We also have had a youth service as well as a mid-week service. Busy!

EVENT
MARKETING!
This coming Friday, we are holding and managing an event
called, “Remember India.” In Timisoara we are working with a medicine school,
where almost 400 Indian students attend. Since we were in India last month, our
contact requested that we reach out to these students and invite them to the
event. We have been passing flyers around campus and marketing the event to
both Indian and international students. It is really incredible. Here in
Timisoara, I’m meeting students around the globe including India, Tunisia,
Palestine, Nigeria, and Syria. It’s been crazy to talk to all these different students,
something that I have enjoyed immensely!

STRAIGHT UP
EVANGELISM!
Yesterday, as well as one more day this week, we will be
going out on behalf of the Rock Church and Jesus and spreading the word about
our Savior. We’re armed with pamphlets and flyers, “evanga-cubes” and good
looks, and going from apartment complex to apartment complex knocking on doors
and talking to the locals. We generally sneak into the complex, running and catching
the door after an actual resident enters the building. Some people aren’t home,
some don’t answer, some yell in Romanian not to bother them, some threaten to
call the police, and yet some will give us a moment of their day so we can
explain the cube to them and give them some material. I haven’t done much of
this type of ministry in my race, so it’s really cool and fun to be doing this.
It really does take a lot of courage and God’s strength to do this!

Please keep our Friday
night “Remember India” in your prayers and that it would be a success.

Please pray for my funding! I need $658 to be fully funded! You can donate online HERE. I would really appreciate your gifts and prayers.
