We had an amazing transition from our time in Lugoj (school
location) and Surduc (ministry center location) to Timisoara. This is where we
will be staying until the end of March and our time in Romania. Here in Timisoara
we are staying with a host family who have already proved to be so hospitable
and gracious to us. We are blessed with similar facilities as earlier in the
month including beds, food prepared for us, and wifi!

During the rest of the month there are a lot of different
ways we will be doing ministry. We will be going to an orphanage, youth
services, church services, marketing for events, distributing flyers, sorting
container shipments and perhaps some manual labor. I’m honored to have been
asked to do some unique work on my own including making some sort of website
for the church and helping one of our contacts, Liviu, prepare a financial
budget for his well drilling operations in Niger. Finally putting use of that
finance and accounting degree. Praise God. I knew it would come in handy at
some point in the race. That $25,000 college degree is going to be worth every
penny…

Today we got to do something really special and unique that I
wanted to share. We got to be on the RADIO! How cool is that? We were on a
Christian radio station that speaks to the entire city of Timisoara. Click HERE to read about it. (translate page to English 🙂 An estimated
5,000 people listened as each one of us shared a bit about a country that we
have visited on the race prior to Romania.

I was able to share a bit about China- you can see a glimpse
in the videos I have posted. I shared how China was one of the coldest
and most unresponsive countries that we have visited on the race. I told the
audience how hard it was to minister and how Christian missionaries to China
could easily be discouraged and persecuted while living there because of their
beliefs.

Listening to radio stations in my home city was definitely
taken for granted! I never realized the important ministry of radio and how
much it can influence an audience
. It is a ministry tool that can really share
the love of Jesus to sizable crowds. It’s also a fantastic way to advertise or
market for an event that is happening in the near future. We are throwing a
party/get-together for Indian college students living in Timisoara next Friday.
We were able to publicize the event on the radio. An easy and cheap way to get
the word out!

I feel so happy and blessed to have received the opportunity
to have spoken and shared on Romanian radio
. What an experience and event this
was! I hope that someone out there listening was rocked by what they
have heard and that we were able to plant the seed in their lives for them to
come to know the Lord.
