You are not good enough. You don't deserve to be loved. You are only worth what a couple dollars will pay for you. Sex is what you deserve because you are worthless. You deserve to be used.
These are the lies that women who have been sexually exploited hear over and over again. These are lies that they begin to believe about themselves after being brainwashed. Lies become chain of bondage that day by day are harder and stronger to break.

This past week we had the amazing opportunity to spend some time with 4 girls who have been rescued from the horrors of the sex trafficking industry. We had the chance to love on them, show them that they are worth something, and allowed them to feel beautiful for a few hours. God has called us to love one another as we love ourselves. What a better way to love than on people who have been told and believed otherwise. We painted each of the girl’s nails and styled their hair. Then we shared cups of coffee and bread from the bakery as we shared a devotional about how much the Lord loves them and sees them as beautiful.
The most beautiful thing that we have been given here this month is our time. We may not be able to walk out the front door and do what we want this month, but we have the opportunity to be here and for people to come to a safe haven . . . even if only for 2 hours. Our time, our voices, and our hearts get to connect with people who are broken and used. We get to tell them that they are loved, they are cared for, and they are worthy.
Before they girls left that morning we had the chance to speak truth into their lives by praying for each one. The enemy tries to use their pasts for his pleasure and tries to trap them into evil, but we know that the power of our God is so much more than that. We sat and lifted up each girl, interceding for them, and asking they Lord to protect them. We prayed worth over them, love and wisdom, and that they would be kept safe.
The morning was beautiful and I would have traded it for anything. God is working in the lives of those that have been reduced through amazing organizations like Free the Girls, which is the program that is reconnecting these women back with society. It was a privilege that they came to hang out with us girls that morning and allowed us to pour our time and love into their lives.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
-Psalm 34:18
