To my friends and family,
I am writing you to share a wonderful opportunity that I am privileged to be apart of. I have been seeking a new change in my life recently and was considering finding a new job and buying a house. I also had in the back of my mind the mission field. I struggled with both and really felt that I needed to apply for a mission trip. I have felt called for years to the mission field and many have supported me in the past on trips. Well, here I go again, on the biggest one yet! I am thrilled to share that I have been accepted to a year long missions trip!
In January 2014, I will serve as a missionary on The World Race. The World Race is a program run by Adventures In Missions (AIM), an interdenominational Christian organization. On The World Race I will be serving in 11 countries over an 11 month period. We will be traveling to: China, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Kenya, Rwanda, & Uganda.
Through the months spent in amazing countries, my teammates and I will be the hands and feet of Jesus as we spread the love of God, as well as serving with local churches, working with orphanages, caring for the sick, do construction work, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution and human trafficking, and making the Gospel known. I am excited to travel and to see how God moves in these other countries.
Some of you may not share my belief in Christ, but you do believe in me, and share my desire to make a difference in this world! Those of us participating in the World Race will be a voice for so many who have no voice. We are blessed, that we might be a blessing!
I am so thrilled to be called to this adventure, and I know that God will provide. I am writing to ask you to join me in this journey either financially or with constant prayer. The total cost of the trip is $15,550. I am also in need of a couple of other things for the trip. Backpacking backpack, sleeping bag, tent, vaccinations, 2 state side plane tickets, things like that. If 50 people pledge $50 a month for 6 months, I would have almost 100 percent of the funds necessary for my trip. I have enclosed a response card and pre-addressed envelope, inviting you to share in this ministry.
Any financial support can be given as a one time gift or a monthly donation where you choose the amount and beginning and end dates. I have included information on a second page about the different ways to give. Even the smallest amount would be a huge blessing.
