Un.be.lieveable.
I’ve started this week somewhat marveling at the fact that A) the sun is FINALLY shining (seriously, haven’t had a reprieve from the rain in WEEKS) and B) I can’t really believe it’s already mid-March. I plan out my calendar and consider all these things as “one day to be done” and BANG here they are.
So far this year I have:
* Been to Australia.
* Been to New Zealand where we launched 110 World Racers – had some of the most amazing worship of my life. Keep an eye on Rachel Hurt, she’s going to change the world.
* Led a Real Life Training Camp – sent 30 some-odd college students to Kenya, Swaziland and India. I’ve since been able to meet up with the team in Kenya and they are the healthiest team I’ve seen in a long while given how long they’ve been together. It’s awesome!
* Been to Belgium, Uganda, Kenya, South Africa and Germany on a whirlwind trip – went to debrief the Novas Project participants in Africa – these guys only have about 8 weeks left now and God is wrecking their LIVES! Just today I was reading some of their blogs here: http://www.adventures.org/blogs/?sitetag=fym and I’m staggered by the impact they are having.
* Gotten a cold that forced me to cancel a trip to Nicaragua
* Been to Spain – visited the G42 Leadership Academy in Mijas, Spain. Saw a bunch of World Race Alumni and began research on a new phase of my ministry: Mobilization! The World Race is fantastic, but WHAT’S NEXT?
* Been to Dublin, Ireland to prepare for our huge worship event coming up in August. Planning for nearly 500 to be in attendance.
* Today I am preparing for a set of leaders to arrive on Wednesday whom I will train to help lead elements of our training camps in May and July. We are planning on training 180 World Racers in May, 130 Real Life Participants in June, potentially 250 World Racers in July… making the investment now to make that all a reality. If you’re overwhelmed by that number, I can ASSURE you, I feel the weight of that burden.
In the midst of it all, I’m supposed to be support raising – DOH! God has been so faithful, but there’s still a long stretch to go. Clearly you can see from my schedule that it’s all about working it in to the chaos that is the most amazing ministry I’ve ever been a part of. God is good.
