So I should start by telling you that none of the topics discussed in this post will receive the proper attention they deserve, that being said, I am excited to update you all on what’s been going on!
Yesterday, we ventured to Macchu Picchu, one of the nominations for the new 7 Wonders of the World. These Incan ruins were home to the intellectuals of the 15th century dynasty of Incan people. In my opinion, the Incan ruins were far more beautiful than Mayan ruins. But beyond all that, leaving the desert of Lima to see the beautiful Andes mountains was more than worth it.
The next two weeks will be crazy. We leave tonight for Buenos Aires and will be there for six days before heading to London for 12 hours to see the city and on to Johanneberg, South Africa. Lots of travel, lots to see, three continents before our next stable location.
On an exciting note, we now have a direction on our ministry in Mexico! Pastor Marcos has just finished his first of four sessions in his seminary training! We are happy to now announce a way you can support this new work in the village of Arroyo Palenque in Mexico. Pastor Marcos baptized his first five individuals and is receiving the training he needs both theologically and in leadership and has much more to learn!
I beseech you to consider supporting Marcos as he attends the leadership training institute. The training itself is completely free but his family needs the equivilent of $150 a month for him to be away and attend classes. If you would like to be apart of this impacting blessing, you can send your donation to Adventures In Missions and designate the payment: Pastor Marcos, Mexico. For his two years of training (8 months of classes) his family will need about $1,200 total. 25% of that has already been given!
Thanks for your prayers and support. The team is doing well and in Buenos Aires. God is providing and details are on their way soon. In the mean time, enjoy some pictures from our time!
Joy’s Birthday was this month!
Macchu Picchu itself!
