Home.
What a concept. How do you define home? Is it the house or apartment you live in? Or perhaps it's where your family or friends are. Or even you think the "church" answer is best (heaven).
As we head into month 8 of this amazing trip. We all have this "home sickness" that Is now a state of being and not an emotion. But here's what it comes to. We may be half way around the world from our families and friends but we are right where we belong. We are with our temporary or rather our new family. We are right where we belong.
As hard as Cambodia and Vietnam have been for me I know that I am still right at home here with my family and friends. Now it took me a while to figure this out. Christmas in Cambodia was filled with tears and misunderstands. Followed by a month of not pushing into my team as well as I could have. What have I learned through this? Well, I have learned that you have to commit to finding home. You have to push for relationships and love through the difficult stuff. And then after all of that you just might find yourself at home.
To My team and squad: look for your home in the people you have around you. I know that God has given you exactly what you need to get through this season. The thing is you may not be able to get through this season without help. God will never give you more then you can handle but he will give you more then you can handle alone. Seek God and community to excel at the next 4 months and the rest of your lives.
Welcome home!
