These are my exact thoughts as I sat the night I found out I was going to leave my COUNTRY and head out for a year to only God knows what.
I have always had a passion for travel. I love to experience new places, cultures, and people. So when I get a chance to outside of my normal everyday life, I do it.
Here's what happened;
I was minding my own business when all of a sudden God gives me this unsatisfied feeling for the up coming summer. So I was searching for something I could do and be worth quitting my job over. So I look around and find… Nothing. Not a thing. I think to myself; "Well that's it self we are working to have to work the summer again."
I had all but given up hope on a new adventure for the summer, when all of a sudden I stumble upon this website about this crazy organization that brings people my age around the world in a year doing all sorts of things that are needed in these countries.
"That's Awesome!" I think to myself. Then starts the crazy part.
I find myself at every point asking God "Do you want me to do this? Or Are you sure about this?" And at each point He kept telling me "Yes, Jillian." But of course I did not hear it. Until…
One weekend after deciding I would apply, I went on a weekend snowshoeing trip with some friends. There we talked about Matthew 10. For those of you who don't know Matthew 10 is about Jesus sending out His 12 disciples. He calls them to go out and help the lost and hurt people of the world.
From then on I knew where my journey was headed and it was headed towards this mission! So here we go. My journey starts Right Now! I have tons of stuff to do in the next few months to get ready to embark on a trip of a life time!
