I am the type of person who finds numbers fascinating. I love random statistics, and often less than encouraging probabilities (because I am always convinced I will be the one out of four to get that rare limb eating disease). I am also the kind of person who thinks pictures make everything better, and pictures combined with numbers, well that is simply an unstoppable force!
To say my life this past month has been busy is an understatement. So much has happened, and I wouldn’t have traded that busyness for anything. Life is also only going to pick up the pace as well.
I’m going to give you a small glimpse into what is going on in my life right now! Using pictures and numbers, of course.
It has been 30 days since I graduated. Since all 36 of us rocked the gown and walked across the stage to receive our diplomas.
It has been 30 days since we all got all dolled up to go our grad banquet. Since it took 7 umbrellas to keep me and 9 of my favorite people dry while taking pictures in the rain. I hate to brag, but 70% of us are heading off within the next year to do missions around the world; to Norway, New Zealand, Belize, Orlando, and Italy. My friends are by far cooler than your friends. The thought of all of us potentially not being in the same place ever again is depressing, but I know for a fact that the Lord will use us all where ever we go!
It has been 21 days since my fundraiser garage sale. Since I made $900 and had over 100 people stop by our house to look at our kooky collection of items.
It has been 13 days since I wrote my first diploma exam, and 3 days since I wrote my last. Since an uncountable number of hours had been spent studying for 5 exams each worth 50% of my grade.
It has been 18 days since all the boys wore the girls uniform to school, and 16 days since the grade 12s pranked the school with 500 pictures of my friends, dozens of rolls of toilet paper, a whole lot of muffins and bananas, 7 terrified goldfish, and 1 kilt up the flag pole.
It has been 2 days since 8 of us got home from camping to celebrate graduating, and 1 day since I turned 18.
I’m sure you’re now wondering what is next in my life! Well, in 24 days I will be flying 2,330 miles to Atlanta Georgia to finally meet 50 of my best friends! I could not be more excited to finally meet everyone. I had always said that as soon as school is done I can really start to get ready for my trip. School has been done for 4 days now, and I am ready to go!
Only 67 days until launch!!
With love,
Jill
