God continues to be the God of the unexpected…
This past Thursday, I randomly checked my email and had a new one from my mobilizer, whose name, I might add, is Jessica. π She was asking for several volunteers to move to another route.
I read the email, signed out…and didn’t really think any more about it…
After all…
The route I chose has so many countries I want to see…
I love Z squad…(still do!) π
I have never thought about going to some of these other countries…
Surely God is ok with where I’m at…
I’m not sure when I started seriously praying and considering it…Friday morning I was reading and this verse caught my attention in a different light…
For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits himself? Luke 9:25
Maybe my “world” had become my route…my squad…my expectations and dreams…
Through praying, God gave me a willingness to go if He so directed. I believe He wanted to remind me that it’s not about me or my route or my squad…we’re all part of the Kingdom…and no country is more valuable to God than any other…
All that to say…
I decided to change routes and squads. From Squad Z to Squad A.
The countries I now will be going to (Lord willing, of course) are:
Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
My prayer through this transition is that I can trade my dreams and my vision…for His. even though it’s hard.
To Z squad–I know you will rock this world for His Kingdom. π Know that I will be supporting and cheering across the miles. π
To all my friends and family–I have been so humbled and blessed by your support in this journey–through financial donations, cards, thought-provoking questions, prayers, worship times, hugs, and so much more. You are playing such a huge part, and I am honored to be walking alongside each of you. π
May He touch your heart today and make you hungry for so much more!
He loves you.
$$ Update $$
God has been continually providing! Right now I am trying to get all of the things needed for training camp and the race (backpack, tent, supplies, etc.) together, which has kept life kinda chaotic. π
