Back in May of 2011, there was a tornado that ripped through North Minneapolis….and I will never forget that day. I had friends and family in the area so naturally, I got a couple friends together and we headed in immedediately. After we helped with those we knew, we decided to go out and around and see how else we could help. We came across this lady named Lisa. I will spare you all the details (for now) but what I will say is out of my personal experience from serving her, a vision was born called Lisa's House. So, here I sit, a year and a half later, with that vision reveling in the forefront of my memory and now expanding in to something even more comprehensive.

So, I'm going to throw it out there. Like it, love it, or hate it, it doesn't really matter. It's not for you…it is for the hurting and one day, it will come to pass in some form or another. After all…He just tells us to write the vision and make it plain. 🙂

Lisa's House: An extensive program that houses and disciples people of every kind….red, yellow, black, or white. It would be a "program" (I use that word very loosly since I have my opinions about programs) that would help people work through core "issues" that have affected their lives. It would be available to people from all walks of life, including but not limited to drug addiction, human trafficking, or simply growing up in a "religious" home that lacked relationship with the Lord and was more rules based. Through this "program" it would pave a path for people to walk into complete freedom physically, spiritually, and emotionally. They would find complete freedom in Christ. From that, they then learn the principles of serious servant based ministry. The organization would be a place of experience in various aspects of ministry for those coming out of the "program" or discipleship training. I would like to see the preachers and tree trimmers come together, get some basic cross experience so 1) They can step in wherever needed and 2) They learn what their gifts are and how to implement them practically in life.

How has this expanded? Well tonight human trafficking has been heavy on my heart which is why, now there would be homes for those connected to human trafficking.

Now, some of you might be asking how this is all going to work. Well, I hate to tell you that I have no clue. I can't go in to all the detail I see because things could change and right now…it's simply a dream. It's not the time nor the place to share all the details of what I see…but what I know is this….what God leads one to do, He guides and He provides.

So one day…Lisa's House will exist. It will be raising up generation after generation of women who know how to be daughters, wives, and mothers and will be able to transform their communities, throughout the world, for the gospel of Christ. They will be the generations that say no moreto broken families. They will be the generations that say no more to generations of addictions. They will be the generations that say no more to human trafficking. They will partner with others to see that God's word is brought to the nations, that the orphans receive love and care, that the prostitutes see that Jesus loves them, died for them and has a greater purpose for them.

All I know is…it takes one man or one woman at a time, willing to stand up and say no more to the nonsense that goes on in this world. It takes one man or one woman to say I will do all God has called me to do, whatever that may be, to make a difference.

And regardless of the fight that may insue, I'm giving it my all. I will die daily and strive to do all that God calls me to…one hug, one word, one chat at a time.

Will you consider doing the same?
