I will sing…or not.
Last night, I wrote about the death of a 22 month old child. I also wrote briefly about a vision. Well, last year I began to write a song. I want to share with you the lyrics. I hope this song develops in my time overseas or at least come across an opportunity to get a half decent recording of someone singing and playing it. Anyway…here are the lyrics that describe, in short, my heart.
Intro:
Arise, shine for your glory has come for such a time as this
Verse 1:
Soft blonde hair, bright blue eyes, laying his hands on those needing life
Josiah James is his name and the fire of God his destiny sings
Though his body was taken away his calling still remains
Generation take your place, open the gates for His glory to reign
Arise, shine for your glory has come for such a time as this
Verse 2:
God we worship you, night and day, through and through
We press on to do the things all the things you’ve called us to
We worship you We worship you
Chorus:
We want you with all of our hearts
We bow to your words
Holy God Almighty
Worthy King of glory
Verse 3:
The call goes out to all who will hear
Will you stand up and bring His glory near
Come on worshippers take your stand
Seek His face and not his hand
Arise, shine for your glory has come for such a time as this
Verse 4:
Worshippers arise in Spirit and in truth
As heaven meets earth, we will lead the crew
The deaf will hear, the blind will see
The dead will rise, all for His glory
Chorus:
We want you with all of our hearts
We bow to your words
Holy God Almighty
Worthy King of glory
