Ok, so we found out a few weeks ago that we would be flying home to LAX on May 12th. This was good news because it made it a full 11 months. BUT we also knew we’d be flying out of Asia on Feb 18th, so we did the math and that meant that we would be in each of those last two countries at least 5 weeks. That sounds awesome, but it would definitely be an adjustment after we usually spent about 3 to 3 1/2 weeks in all the other countries. We had a feeling that they were brewing something– an extra country maybe, or a longer debrief or something.
Then we “officially” found out last week that our two central American countries would be Nicaragua and El Salvador! Never been to either one, but they sound pretty sweet.
THEN the other day, they emailed us and said that since we have so much extra time, they decided to add another country at the end– we would also be doing ministry in Guatemala! Twelve countries in eleven months! Again, sounds great to me!
THEN later that same day, we found out that our team’s particular ministry in Nicaragua next month, isn’t actually in Nicaragua. It’s in Honduras! So we will fly from LAX, to Nicaragua, then probably take a bus a couple hours up to Honduras. THIRTEEN countries in eleven months! Yes please!
AND THEN (drumroll) we got our flight itinerary for the May 12th flight to LAX (they wanted to send it to us early so that we could all get busy booking our flights home from there.)
-May 12th, depart from Nicaragua at 8:20 am
-Arrive at 12:50 pm in DALLAS, TEXAS!

We have a layover in Dallas! So I can just stay there and I don’t have to book a flight home from LAX! AND the squad will be there for a few hours before their flight to LAX, so my family might get to meet some of them! Man, I’m excited. Thanks, Lord!
See you guys in THREE MONTHS!
