Fundraising for the World Race has taught me a lot and one of the biggest lessons it's taught me is that, I NEED YOU!
I would not be where I am today, had I not surrendered my pride and simply asked for support. I needed to go through the experience of fundraising for God to show me that He has people waiting to be a blessing but I must place myself in the position to be blessed.
I've realized that I don't need to worry if God will provide or stress about where the provision will come from, I simply must assume the position – the position of obedience, the position of humility, the position of faith.
I only have four months left on this amazing journey God has called me to. Wow! Time has flown by. I am in no way counting down the days, but reality is that November will be here before I know it and then what?
You may be wondering what I will do with myself after this year.
I often wonder the same thing!
I am in constant prayer, seeking God's will for what life after the Race looks like for me.
Adventures in Missions (AIM) does a great job helping Racers transition back to life after having been away for 11 months. Project Searchlight, a week-long training program post-Race, helps us to process this journey, allows us to reunite with our friends and creates an environment where we can explore our dreams and callings.
