I usually avoid the spotlight at all costs! But since I’ve been on the World Race, God has been pushing me more and more into His light – and I’ve been doing my best to let my little light shine.
While our squad was in Thailand, I was blessed with the opportunity to lead one of our morning devotionals which I titled "I AM – The Epitome of Swag". I talked about the names of God and why it's so important for us to know and study them. It was an honor to serve the squad in this way.
In Myanmar, I had the opportunity to preach my first sermon! It was a blessing to talk to God's people about not merely being fans of Jesus, but being His followers.
I also received the opportunity to share this message at a youth program in Cambodia. Everyone loved it when I posed the question, "What if Jesus had a Facebook page?" I encouraged them that God wants more than our "Likes" and our "Thumbs Up."
Instead, He wants our hearts up.
A pure heart is what separates the fans of Christ from the followers of Christ.
At Luke Orphanage in Myanmar, we had the opportunity to worship and sing with the children. It blessed me to see these young people on fire for the Lord. After our team sang a few songs, they asked if I could sing a song by myself. I decided to sing my late granny's favorite – This Little Light of Mine!

This year has stretched me in unimaginable ways. But I keep reminding myself that this is not about me – it's about doing the will of my Heavenly Father. So in everything I do, whether it's teaching, preaching, singing or something else, I do it to the glory of God.
"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Colossians 3:17
