I can tell you I absolutely fell in love with these young men and women. They have a purity and passion for the Lord that brought me to take a closer look at my own life and faith.
They have so much love for each other and passion for the Lord. There’s this purity about them. They really believe the Lord’s going to use them to change the world.
Yes, they have the same identity issues and wounds that we all have, but they haven’t been walking in them for quite as long. They haven’t taken root so deeply yet.
They seem to have such teachable spirits. There’s a childlike faith about them that so many of us have lost after being jilted and rejected by the world. We set out with big dreams and expectations, and then reality hit with full force. Then we realized that things aren’t as simple as we thought.
Sometimes we have to put in a lot of hard, seemingly meaningless and fruitless work, and we find WE can’t change the world. We are one speck in this universe.
But here’s the thing:
These Passporters know who CAN change the world.
They have this deep, nagging whisper inside of them that says a “life to the full� could possibly be more than a 3 bedroom, 2 garage home and Bachelor’s degree in your back pocket, and they’re stepping out in faith and into the unknown to find out what that might be.
The Lord has lit something inside of them and is gently blowing on that flame. They are lighting up with the belief that God is actually who He says He is! They’re hanging on to the hope that the same God who gave them life will blow His breath into the nations.
They have a big faith. It is inspiring to me, convicting and a calling to get back to where I once was. To stop, quiet my heart and block out all other voices except the voice of my trustworthy Father.
It is time to start believing again that we serve a God who has the power to cast out demons, heal the sick and raise the dead.
It’s time to start living out of the truth that the same God who defeated death and created the world actually dwells and works in and through you and me!
It’s time to start holding out the truth we claim to those around us and denouncing the lies of the enemy.
It’s time to start putting on a garment of praise and casting the spirit of heaviness back to hell where it came from.
It’s time to start stepping out in faith into situations where only the Lord can come through.
It’s time to start really living.
Today’s the day.
Let’s grab each other’s hands and start moving forward.
