" 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. i will be found by you,' delcares the LORD."
Jeremiah 29:11-14a

It seems a bit hard to know where to begin…My thoughts kind of go in several different directions so much of the time!  Let me try…

The Lord has been convicting me about some things lately.  He's been teaching me a ton and humbling me a lot as well.  It's seems like the more I learn, the less I know, if that makes any sense.  Anyways, here's a quick little story of how God totally blessed me!

I am in the process of "purging" my things and trying to get at least a little bit more organized for when I'm leaving in the nearish future.  I put a couple of things for sale on geartrade.com (amazing little site where people sell gear).  I ended up selling a sleeping pad to some person in MO.  As I was packaging it up I decided to put some of my WR cards with my my WR information on them in the package.  I also wrote a little note on the back of the card (it's business card size) and taped it to the top of the pad so it wouldn't be missed.  It said something like "Following Jesus is the best decision I ever made."  I put my blog info down as well.

Now, after I packaged it up (and probably during as well) I wondered if I should do that…should I be that bold??  Would that be offensive??  Could I get in trouble by the website if the person complained??  Well, I ended up sending it anyway.  I've been really scatterbrained lately and may possibly have just forgotten that I was debating about taking that out.  I think I didn't want to break into the package and re-tape it either.  Who knows.  So is life lately it seems.  🙂

The other day something crazy and wonderful happened.  I get an email.  That in and of itself is not noteworthy, but the fact that it was from the guy that bought my pad was!  Actually, the email I received was from my blog.  This is what he said (I hope he doesn't mind me sharing this):

"so you sent me the sleeping pad off of gear trade, your little
note was sweet!, i showed my roommates because we are all Christians, two
of us are on staff at ihop (the international house of prayer) check out
the website at ihop.org, play the live webstream its sweet, the prayer
room is a 24/7 prayer and worship meeting i love it!"

How amazing is that?!?!  I was totally thrilled!  God is so awesome!  It just totally blessed me; it was so unexpected.  God has a plan after all…even in the little things like selling your sleeping pad.  We just need to be obedient to what He is telling us to do.  It may seem "small," but the return can be huge.

I've tried to email this guy about how much his response blessed me, but it keeps bouncing back to me.  Maybe he'll read this, and we can get in touch.  haha  🙂

Side note:  I received my first round of vaccines today, and so far I've had no major side affects.  Thank you Jesus and everyone who was praying!  It has been a wonderful, productive Saturday.

"And God is able to make ALL grace abound to you, so that in ALL things at ALL times, having ALL that you need, you will abound in EVERY good work."
II Corinthians 9:8

(Do you see a pattern in that verse?!  I think God's got it taken care of.)
