"Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you."
Psalm 116:7
Yesterday afternoon I was just chillin' out in my room when I heard a know at my bedroom door. (For those of you who don't know, I'm currently a live-in nanny/housekeeper for a wonderful family.) "Yes?" I say. "Mail for you," replies the sweet little voice of Sienna (7).
"Mail" comes rather frequently from internal sources at the Dorr house. Sienna has designated "mail boxes" outside of all of the bedrooms. It's a great system. You should try it at your house. It makes things way more fun.
I open my bedroom door and find this:

Inside there was a 5 dollar bill. The tears sprang up, and it was over. I had to go give that precious girl a hug! This gift was not given out of obligation or for the acknowledgement. She quickly disappeared before I collected the "mail." No, I believe this was given was given out of a pure heart. Kids are like that ya know. Straight-forward and compassionate. Loving and innocent. Much more so than the majority of adults anyways. I've seen Sienna's big heart and consideration for others over the past several months as I've had the privilege of living with her and her family. Why can't we as adults be more like that? Jesus actually tells us to become like little children in Matthew 18:
"And He said, 'I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kindgom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in My name welcomes me.' "
Jesus' words are something we should really think on…
I'm super excited to announce that Sienna is now the youngest member of this WR team! She has already traveled to Germany, Mexico, Nicaragua and Costa Rica so maybe she can give me some world traveling tips seeing as how I've only been to Mexico.

Just being silly! (stickers courtesy of Sienna)
So God suprised me and just blessed my socks off through Sienna yesterday, and I thought I'd share this lovely story with y'all! God has a way of doing that ya know. Blessing you unexpectedly with "little" things that really aren't that little. It's those things that can make your day that much more wonderful. Don't take them for granted. Treasure them up. Remember them. Count your blessings.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Romans 15:13
Blessings,
