"We're half way there! Whoooaa. Livin' on a prayer!"
As I've been thinking about getting to the half way point in fund-raising, the chorus from the song "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi keeps getting in my head! I'm sure it's due in part to listening to 80s music quite frequently at the cafe where I work as well. Anyways, that's where the dedication to this blog title comes from. 😀
So…counting $1,000 in pledges, plus everything that I can see that's been donated as of today, we are actually OVER half way there money-wise!!!!!!!
This is just so exciting! This week 5 more people joined the action and donated a total of $875! When I add in the thousand dollars that my church has committed to giving and part of my tax refund that I put in, that brings the total to about $7,530! The challenge this week was to hit the half-way mark, and the Lord touched people's hearts and the funds came in!
A HUGE heart-felt thanks to all of you who are a part of this journey through prayer and financial support! The Lord is using you in big ways for His kingdome already. I am blessed and humbled by the opportunity to share in this with you as the Lord continues to do great things even now and into the next year.
I committed to the WR the first week of February. Ten weeks later, half of my support is already raised. Praise the Lord! There are about 11 weeks until Training Camp, and my goal is to be FULLY FUNDED by then. July 1st is the goal!!! Can God do it? Of course He can! Will He? We shall see! I am excited to continue to see the ways in which He will provide funding, emotional support, encouragement and prayer partners. He continues to show Himself to me as my faithful Provider in all areas of life.
Once again, THANK YOU! YOU are a blessing and are being used by the Lord!
