March Support Update

 

As most of you know from my previous blogs, I took the step of faith in leaving my corporate marketing job so that I could rely on the Lord’s provision for my mission trip. I knew in my heart that He wanted me to trust in Him and not my salary…and He has just amazed me! A week after I left, an amazing part time job opportunity was extended to me at Stonebriar Community Church with their Preschool Pals program. It is an amazing preschool and I am so blessed to be working with such wonderful women dedicated to the Lord and to teaching our little ones. Once school resumes from spring break, the school will be running a 2 week support raising contest for my mission trip! Each of the classes will compete to see which class can raise the most support and the winning class will be awarded a pizza party! Thank you Kim, Kelley, Ashley and all of the lovely ladies at SPP!

 

 

 

 

 

Also this past Saturday was my spring-themed support raising brunch & dessert party!  I would  like to thank everyone who was able to attend, and for those who couldn’t, I truly thank you for your prayers! For those who couldn’t make it, I was literally moved to tears at the beauty of all of this coming together. I could not have asked for a better party! The food was delicious (and plentiful!!), the decorations look lovely and the turnout was wonderful–over 20 people from Preschool Pals, JCT 56 ministry, Women in the Word, my community group and the Wednesday night bible study! Thank you all for coming out and rallying behind me on this next chapter of my life! I love each and every one of you and I THANK GOD FOR YOU! I would also like to extended a wonderful thank you to Teagan, an alumni  from the Jan 08 World Race for coming out & being there to answer questions and share her perspective! She has also been so kind enough to offer to accompany me shopping for my gear and has already answered many of my questions!! Also, a thank you to Austin, an upcoming World Racer (Aug. 09 team) to be there to support me as one who knows what I’m going through with the support raising!!  $900 was raised right there on the spot!! THANK YOU JESUS! Everyone who attended also received a brochure with more information on how they can support me, so please continue to be in prayer that people would not forget about this mission and that it would be on their hearts to faithfully give.
