Another love note from the Creator of the
Universe to Jessica…
Yesterday morning I went out for
a run around 7 o’clock. (For those that don’t know, 1. I’m not a morning
person, 2. I’m not a runner, and 3. It’s high of 40s in Romania right now.)
Linsey, Amanda, and I headed out a little after 7 to start our run. I put the
ipod in and I was in my own little world. We all run at our own pace for
however long we want. I realized about 20 minutes into the run I was by myself
in the middle of the never-ending field. I looked around and decided that I
should probably head back toward the house. I took about 5 steps and stopped. I
felt like I should turn around, so I did. There it was the moon still up so
clear in the sky even as the sun was rising. Just as I was about to turn around
and continue running, I looked a little bit harder at the moon. That’s when I
saw a heart on the moon. The way the craters were formed it looked as though
they made a perfect heart. Just for me! God had me turn around so that He could
once again show His love to me. So there I was standing before the Creator of
the Universe worshipping and praising Him for gifts He’s given me.
It didn’t stop there… Every day
of the week is a different person’s day on our team and yesterday was my day.
One of my favorites to do in the entire world is to look at the stars so later
that evening that’s just what we did. I was going to go by myself but I offered
for my team to come out and join me. At first it was just Amanda and I, talking
about God and how awesome it would be to see a shooting star. Then Sam, Natalie,
Stephanie, and Linsey joined us. We lay there cuddling together all bundled in
our sleeping bags with blankets around us (don’t forget it’s mid 20s at this
point) staring up at the sky. We continued to talk about God and shooting
stars. That’s when Natalie told us that she had never seen a shooting star, so
we prayed. We all prayed that God would show us a shooting star. With a little
faith and prayer, that’s exactly what we got. In that very moment we were like
children who saw a magic trick for the first time. “WOW!! Did you see that? Do
it again Daddy! Do it again,” we began saying to our Daddy, Father, Lover, and
Creator. Guess what happened next?!?! He did it AGAIN but this time it was TWO
IN A ROW! Just for us! Just for His daughters! We prayed for a shooting star
and He gave us 3! God is showing a whole new side of Himself, a romantic side.
He’s making my heart beat faster and faster. I just can’t help myself from falling in love!
