We’ve been in Romania for about 4 days now at our 4 month
debrief. For those that don’t know… month4 debrief is when leaders from AIM
(Adventures in Missions) come on the field to check in with us, encourage us,
pour into us and speak life into us. During this time we’ve had the privilege
of having Caroline and Noe with us.
On the second night we were told to grab a partner. I
grabbed my teammate Karaline standing next to me. Then we were told to just listen
to see what God is telling us for the other person. She told me that she saw
this picture of a silhouette in the light on fire bringing the light into the
darkness. She said that I was going to bring the light of Christ into dark
places. I was so captivated by this picture. Then we were told to find another
person and do it again. This time I turned to one of my really good friends on
the squad (Jessie German) to find that she was looking at me too. Whenever she
spoke over me I just felt the light bulb all of a sudden just came on. She told me that…
I am a small town girl NOT made for small things.
My voice and my words DO have power and influence.
And the things that God has been placing on my heart recently
are things that He’s been trying to tell me for a while now.
Over these past few months on the race I’ve learned a lot about
walking in freedom with God. Chains that have held me down for way too long
have finally been broken and are now lying at the foot of the cross. Those
chains are never to be picked up again. Part of my testimony is that I’ve
learned to cycle back into my old ways, never figuring out how to get myself
out of that constant battle. I’ve learned now the reason that I kept cycling back
into those things were because I kept picking those chains back up and putting
them on myself. NO MORE! Those
chains are gone and normally this is when (by month 4) I try to pick up those
chains again. NO MORE! I walk in freedom with Christ. Not for three months. Not
for a season. FOR ETERNITY!
Psalm 119:45 “I walk about in freedom, I have sought out your perceptions.”
Luke 4:18-19 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. he has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Galatians 5:1 “It is for freedom that Christ has set s free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

(In the process of getting a tattoo in Bolivia)

I’m proclaiming that:
I walk in FREEDOM! I stand firm in that FREEDOM!
