As I
mentioned in a previous blog our team was split up into different houses with people
from the church this month. So this past week a member of the church who owns a
house on the beach offered it to us to use for a few days so our team could have
some time together before we venture off to our next country. It was so great
having a few days just to relax and spend time with the team.

We came
back on Wednesday to stay the night in Quito before we headed back to Tangurine
(the first ministry site we were at) The church needed us to help with some
minor construction work Thursday and Friday at one of the houses there. We
quickly found out that they do construction a lot differently than they do in
the US… mixing paint by hand, moving rocks/ sand by buckets, etc. I think it
was great preparation for what our team is going to be experiencing in the next
country. We just found out that we will be in the small town Pacallpa, Peru,
which by the way is in the middle of the jungle so this will be a lot different
from what we are experiencing here in Quito. Our team will be back together
again in a house just a few blocks from the church we will be working with. I
said that our visit to Tangurine was preparing us because we will be doing
construction at our next location. I ask that you please keep our team lifted
in pray as we make a 18 HOUR bus ride to Lima, Peru on Monday and then a 17
HOUR bus ride to Pacallpa on Tuesday.

PS. Like I
said… we will be in the jungle next so we haven’t found out what our internet
connection is going to look like there but I promise to keep everyone updated
as much as possible. I love you guys very much! Talk to you again from PERU!!

Matthew 9:36-38 “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.â€
