It’s a long time overdue, but I though I would introduce you to a few of the beautiful people who touched my heart during our time in Tanzania…
Meet Mama Mgaya (front) and Glory (behind in red)
Mama and Papa Mgaya opened their home to us for the entire month while we served in their church community.
Glory was one of the wonderful women who helped in preparing our meals all month long. She will be getting married this summer and leaving the Mgaya home to be with her husband.
Next I would like to introduce you to Pastor Bon (left) and Ushindi (right). Pastor Bon was with us all month long taking us to the church to pray and door to door for ministry. Ushindi was one of our translators for the month. Both are amazing men of God with a heart to spread the Gospel and see thier community on fire for the Lord.
This lovely lady is Ozema. She too lived in the Mgaya household and was responsible for keeping the house tidy and for preparing our meals. I have never met a woman more willing to serve!
This is Agnus, Mama and Papa Mgaya’s youngest daughter. She is studying to be a lawyer in Dar es Salaam. We werre fortunate to be in Tanzania while she was on break from school. Agnus is a beautiful young woman filled wilth joy and an amazing heart for the Lord.
Here we have Grace and her husband Amani. Grace was another one of the women from the church community who came to the Mgaya house and helped in preparing our meals during the month. She is also in charge of the children’s ministry at church. We had the pleasure of working with her and the children each Saturday. Amani is the music director at church. Both Grace and Amani have beautiful voices that we were fortunate enough to hear various times throughout the month as they led worship.
Finally, meet the Walingo family. This beautiful bunch welcomed our team into thier home on our sabath days. They spoiled us rotten and loved on us as if we were thier own sons/daughters or brothers/sisters.
There are many others who should be on this page. Thier faces are embedded in my mind and on my heart. To the entire Tanzanian family: I love you and miss you dearly and I pray that I will, one day, see you again!
