I’ve been home for one month.
Which means I’ve passed the one year milestone of leaving for the World Race.
That is surreal.
Home is wonderful. I’ve moved in with two of my best friends, I bought a car, I started working one job and am looking for another one. I said goodbye to my beloved pet beagle whose lymphoma progressed after I returned home. It’s been an emotional roller coaster. I hit the “Re-Entry Wall” pretty hard and just became super apathetic, not caring about anything here, not wanting to be social, etc. Praise God I got out of that one within a week.
One of the biggest questions I’ve got since bieng home is “now what?” Here’s your answer:
I’m working at a church as a Youth Specialtist (self-titled), helping with the HS and JH students. I really like it, seeing the kids grow and ‘get it.’ I’ve applied for a job at Starbucks to cover other costs. Lord willing, I will be working there soon. Longterm….drumroll please?
It’s going to be awesome…and I’m excited to see it come to pass. Please be praying for that entire process, as it will likely take a couple years. Thanks for following my adventure on the World Race. The highs and lows, good times and bad. Below is my whole 11 months in a 10 minute video. 🙂 Also, if you click on the link to my Vimeo account, you can watch all my videos from the year!
Until later…peace out.
