Well.  As I’m typing this, I’m sitting at the EuroCafe in Granada, Nicaragua eating a peppermint fudge brownie during my first World Race debrief.  I figured it was probably time to update you all in blogworld about what more happened in Honduras, as well as our plans for next month.  I hate writing paragraphs,so here comes bullet form!
  • I love Honduras.  A part of my heart will probably always be there.  Ministry at La Finca and El Horno provided some great opportunity to grow.  Ministry in Los Pinos, while different, was the same opportunity.

  • I got to meet my two kids I sponsor through Compassion (see last blog)
  • My team cleaned bat pee, that’s right, bat pee, out of the house on La Finca land so that Tony and the boys could start living there.  Granted, I missed the day when they opened the roof and got attacked by bats and had to clean up the bat poop, so I’ll consider myself lucky.

  • I got to know 8 incredible boys, and really got to invest in 6 of them, watching them grow, struggle, fall and triumph.  They don’t live an easy life, but we left knowing that they were in God’s hands, and have been all along, and that He will work it all out for good.
  • My cereal, Marshmallow Stars by Honey Monster, attacked me twice on the bus to Granada…falling out of the overhead compartment…awesome.
  • Debrief has been amazing, it’s so great to see everyoen and hear their stories from the last two months, as well as just having downtime to relax for a couple days.
  • God really moved in our team yesterday, we realized we’d allowed Satan to take a foothold and cause division, but we kicked his butt at debrief, and it’s under a better watch.
  • There’s some celebration of the immaculate in Granada.  Firecrackers, big ones, go off every morning at about 4:30 AM, along with a parade and a lot of yelling…somewhat crazy.
  • Last month we were told all of the ministry options for this next month (December), and we were asked to pray over it and decide, then it was up to the Squad Leaders.  We were the only team that got what we’d initially felt like we were lead to do…
  • For the month of december, we will not be in Costa Rica as originally planned (surprised? I should think not by this point!).  We will be on the island of Boca de Toro in PANAMA!!!!  We will be doing construction as well as evangelism to the tourists there..atleast we think that’s what we’ll be doing…
  • We’re all very excited about this month!

Below is a video I made of our month in Honduras.
