Hello Everyone,
I wanted to update you about some changes that have taken place and some things that are coming up soon. First, I recieved an email about 2 weeks ago from my S-Squad mobilizer asking anyone on our team if we would be willing to move to another squad because ours was too large. I read the email and looked at the routes and thought to myself, "I don't want to go to those countries," so I ignored the urging I was feeling inside me. I said, "God, I need more then a generic email addressed to everyone on my squad to know if this is something you want me to do."

Then, this past Friday afternoon I got a call from another World Race mobilizer. She asked if I would be willing to move to another squad and that I only had an hour to make my decision. In my mind I was was saying, "No, I don't want to change," but I told her I'd think about it anyway. I didn't want to change but I couldn't help noticing the nudging I was feeling from you know who πŸ™‚ I felt as if the call was another reminder and signal that He wanted me to change.

I immediatey prayed about it as I got off the phone. Asking God to take away any distractions and make it clear as to what he wanted me to do. As I finally gave into His calling I felt a pressure lift off of me as if He was saying "stop trying to control this too, allow Me to do My work."

So, I made the decision to change my route. I am now on T-Squad (July Route 4) and feel very content with my decision. Now, I will be traveling to Romania, Ukraine, Ireland, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia. Everything else will stay the same. I will still be leaving in July, however where I am going is theonly thing that has changed.

The other updates I wanted to give were that I will be leaving this Saturday, May 18th to go to Atlanta for a weeklong training for the World Race. I don't know much about what will take place. They keep us in the dark on purpose so that we come as we are and not prepped and ready to go πŸ™‚  I have heard that training is and can be one of the most intense parts of this whole experience. Please keep me in your prayers. Pray that God will reveal himself to me in ways he never has before and that he will prepare me and my teammates for the journey ahead.

I also wanted to give a BIG thank you to all my Dreamgirls and friends and family that attended my Art Show this past Saturday πŸ™‚ I was in awe at how many people showed up and what great support systems God has provided me. My Dream Team was in full effect (Dreamgirls is the name of our Bible Study group). Thank you to all the wonderful women who made this show happened and all the hours you helped prepare for it. You are the best! We were able to raise $2,100 to o towards my outside costs of international health insurance, vaccines, medications, flights to and from training and material costs. THANK YOU!!

That is all for now. I will post another update when I get back from Training Camp to let you know how it goes πŸ™‚
