“I am so thankful to be married to a man that is faithful to the Lord and a spiritual leader. It is such a blessing to know that we are both pursuing the same goal and are seeking the Lord with all our hearts.”
This month, I have been able to spend time with a missionary couple from South Africa. I have watched how their marriage truly glorifies God and is a blessing to everyone around them. This is how God intended marriage; for the husband and wife to serve him better than they could on their own. They choose to love and prefer each other everyday even when it’s hard. They constantly build each other up. They call each other to greatness and into a deeper intimacy with Christ. A Godly relationship is such a blessing.
My eyes have been opened on this journey. I no longer want a relationship for the sake of having one. I do not need a man to make me feel whole because I know that Christ has already made me complete. I do not want a boy that plays games or lies about his relationship with God. I won’t settle for just some guy. I’m worth more. I want a man that is pursuing Christ wholeheartedly. Someone that knows the Father’s love and what pleases Him. A man that knows who he is in Christ and desires a spiritual relationship with me, not just a shallow one. I want someone who knows the importance of community. I want someone who offers grace and mercy freely. A man that is not tossed around like a wave but is rooted. I want someone that loves the Lord and has the same goal as I do; to become more like Christ. I want someone that Jesus has ordained for me. I don’t want a boy, I want a man of God.
