How long do you expect to live until? 80? 90? 100?
What do you wish to accomplish with your time spent on this Earth?
Become a doctor or lawyer? Obtain an education? Make money? Have nice things?
Why? You can’t take it with you when you die. Will people remember your accomplishments? Now that I have tasted how sweet the love of Christ is I can’t seem to see how anything else could compare in the slightest. I would much rather live a simple life and have Christ than be a queen.
Let me assume for a minute…you want a comfortable life. You want a smooth path.
God wants SO MUCH MORE than that for you. He wants to redeem you. He wants to give you life abundant. He wants to overwhelm you with his joy, hope, peace, and love. He doesn’t promise an easy life but he does promise to always be with you until the very end of the age.
The fact of the matter is God is alive. Jesus humbled himself by becoming a man and came to the Earth to die for our sins. He died to redeem us! He was raised from the dead after three days and is very much alive. I talk with him every day. Believe it, brother or sister. He redeemed you. You need not do anything other than accept his gift. When we accept this he gives us the Holy Spirit to live inside of us. Take heart, friend. Our God loves you with an everlasting love.
