So, I am now sending out letters to friends & family asking for prayer & financial support. I am really hoping someone has a heart to help organize a prayer team to cover the trip for the next year…I would be thrilled to know that people worldwide are praying for our team and our trip.
As I am getting ready, I just got a 2 man tent from REI’s scratch & dent sale…I got it over 1/2 off because someone complained it was too big for a 2 person tent…yay, PTL…thank you Lord for that sweet blessing & discount! I also just got a sleeping bag & backpack. My sleeping pad should be in the store by this weekend. The major purchases are coming together.
I’m also starting to box stuff up like photos & books that I know I want to keep. I have always been a cleaner/organizer, so I am going through my house all over again & getting rid of stuff left, right & center. Or so I think. It feels really freaky to think about being gone a year & then moving back to the states & reacclimating to culture here. So, I guess I’m getting a little ahead of myself. One step at a time…I will have to remember that time & again I am sure.
So, for now, I am going to finish sending out the letters, continue to pray over the responses & then get to packing! All that after dinner, of course. 🙂
