I am almost at the half-way point of my World Race… Can you believe that?!
It honestly feels like it was just yesterday that I stood crying in the airport as I waved goodbye to my family. Now I am already beginning the process of preparing for life after the race. I am doing my taxes, writing essays for graduate school, and just this week found a roommate for when I return to IU! Life is on track and I am pumped for my remaining 6 months on the field.
Only one thing stands in my way: I am currently $5,000 short of my fundraising goal and I am required to have an additional $3,000 in my account by the next deadline of March 1st.
Thus far I have been incredibly blessed by family and friends back in the states though prayer, words of encouragement on my blog, and financial giving. I am thankful to say that I have raised almost $11,500 in cash support (in addition to others giving toward equipment needs).
In total I need to raise $16,500 (in one-time gifts and monthly pledges) by the time I return from the field in July. This amount covers all of my expenses (food, lodging, international medical insurance, ministry expenses, and transportation) for the entire year.
If I am unable to reach the March 1st deadline, I will be pulled from ministry until the funds are in my support account. However, I am confident that God will provide in amazing ways!
