Hello from Romania! I am with 16 other teammates living in a village in Ville Tecii which is about 8 hours from Bucharest. We are living in our contact’s attic and ministering to the gypsy community here. The people are extremely welcoming and the area we are in is beautiful. Every time I step outside, I feel like I am in a scene from Fiddler on the Roof. We will be doing manual labor for the elderly, leading church services, and teaching english. We have already been able to do a little gypsy dancing along with the local accordian player. We don’t QUITE move like they do, but we’re trying!

My teammate Katie Rowland made this travel day video just for fun to honor ALL of our traveling days…I’m talking hours and hours of travel. Just in this past month we traveled by car or plane over 250 hours. Sometimes we get really bored because our ipod dies and sleeping is just not possible. We are usually traveling in old buses crammed into our seats. Our BEST travel experience was coming to the village we are currently in because we had our OWN bus and we actually were traveling on a highway versus the dirt roads we are use to. We decided to celebrate on the bus with a little dancing. ENJOY!
