I opted not to buy myself souvenirs during this journey. God still made sure I had something to take, keep, and remember from each month I've spent with Him. I researched the symbolic (spiritual & psychological) meanings of my gifts (Each item itself, colors, materials etc.) I also had guidance from above in finding the purpose for each items placement in my life at the time it was placed.
I was given so many gifts from so many different people this month. This was a hard month personally, and great month spiritually.
METAPHORIC MEANINGS
NECKLACE (made by an orphan girl) – You need to act on your gut instinct about some situation or relationship. Highlights your intellect, your influence and power. unsatisfied desires.
BRIGHT COLORFUL – awareness … WOOD/ HEART – indicates a power-giving act or creative gesture. You are molding or shaping the course of your own life. (This symbolizes spirituality and vital energy.)
BIBLE (From Pastor) – Symbolizes truth, belief, inspiration and knowledge. You need to turn to the bible more. BLACK – symbolizes the unknown, the unconscious, danger, mystery, darkness, death, mourning, rejection, hate or malice. This color invites you to delve deeper in your unconscious in order to gain a better understanding of yourself. It also signifies a lack of love and lack of support. More positively, black represents potential and possibilities. It is like a clean or blank slate.) If the feeling is one of joy, then blackness could imply hidden spirituality and divine qualities.
APRON (from female missionary) – making a commitment to work on some familial task. protection and secrecy. GREEN – signifies a positive change, good health, growth, fertility, healing, hope, vigor, vitality, peace, and serenity. Also a way of telling you to "GO AHEAD". (Alternatively, a metaphor for a lack of experience in some task.)
HANDKERCHIEF (from Pastor) – indicates that you will be disgraced or embarrassed in some way. Alternatively, it symbolizes tears and sadness. Separation from loved ones. WHITE – represents purity, perfection, peace, innocence, dignity, cleanliness, awareness, and new beginnings. You may be experiencing a reawakening or have a fresh outlook on life. (Alternately, white refers to a clean, blank slate. Or it may refer to a cover-up.)
SHELL (from Pastor Charles) – represents security and protection. You are not showing your true self or real feelings. In protecting yourself from getting hurt, you are also becoming reclusive and emotionally closed off.
2 new bracelets too …. Another reminder from God … Focus on Him. Bracelets will always show up in my hardest months.
SCRIPTURE
You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride; you have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace. (Song of Solomon 4:9)
So that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them. (Acts 19:12)
PERSONAL MEANINGS
NECKLACE – there is no doubt that my motherly instinct were called to the forefront this month. I was faced with the decision of wether to go home or stay on the race. My intuition said "stay" and God said "surrender." This was a life changing moment for my daughter and I. It was vital to our independent spiritual growth. We are both stronger because of Him.
BIBLE – this is self explanatory. It is interesting though. I already had a personal bible and thought for a while I should give this one to someone else. A month later my personal bible was destroyed by a dog. I was not with out a bible. Thanks God!
APRON – Wow, this one again highlights all the issues (emotions, struggles) I was dealing with this month GREEN – positive change & growth God telling me to "Go Ahead!" I lacked the experience required…He had it all under His control.
HANDKERCHIEF – I was hurting for my daughter this month. I also had a fall out with my boyfriend this month. I experienced all of these … Disgrace, embarrassment, sadness, tears. It is shocking the truths revealed here and also obvious I was not listening to my spiritual heart in the latter issue.
SHELL – My boyfriend bared the brunt of this side of me (not Christ like) this month.
