The last week of ministry in the Philippines was a little scattered.  The team decided to take each day at a time and take the ministry opportunities that presented themselves.  Sometimes that meant we all went our separate ways.  On Monday, I actually substituted for the 4th grade teacher at Faith Academy, a missionary kids school that our host family’s daughter works at.

On Tuesday I got to hang out with the chlidren at K.I.M.  Children’s Home (Kid’s International Ministry).  I instantly had 3 girls attached to me…Jessica, Ira, and Angel.  We got to go swimming at the Faith Academy Pool, read books, play on the playground, and get to know each other a little bit.

While I never got the opportunity to spend another day with them, I did stop and say hi for a few minutes a couple more times.  They always rushed up to me with a “Attay Jessica!” and a hug.  (Attay is a term used when referring to elders…I think it means “big sister”).  They expressed to me how much they wished I could stay and always asked me when I would be back.  It was a little hard to say good-bye the final time.

Please join me in prayer for these girls and all of the children that are helped by K.I.M.  You can find out more about the ministry at… http://www.kidsinternationalministries.org
