To the team: I do not have your church contacts to forward this too. Can you please forward this to your churches back in the US – and your supporters. I put at the bottom the list of what your team did with us so it is a quick easy way to let your church know how wonderful and useful and fruit bearing your team is.
To whom it may concern,
I have been working with short term teams for a couple of years and for 8 months at New Life Fellowship in Cambodia. During my time here I have worked with two World Race teams and have received incredibly positive feedback from our staff about previous World Race teams. We have many teams come through to support us but every WR team has been fantastic.
In October, the WR blessed us with 11 dynamic people. This was made up BOLD team and JOY team. We set them the task of collecting testimonies from our ministries in Phnom Penh and some of our provincial churches. This then enabled us to implement sending out newsletters on a regular basis to a wide range of supporters and increase our much needed prayer support. The team loved it. We loved that they could help us.
We had so many teams in December that we had to reject a WR team but we have one working with us currently.
This team working with us now (Indelible and Tikvah) has helped finish of some practical projects left behind by other teams and where we ran out manpower, worked with one of our missionary families to support a mum with 3 children, develop our sports program at our primary school, organize a storage room at our primary school and most amazingly is collecting information from our departments to upgrade our website including more testimonies. This is most timely as we have two ladies coming next month to design the website. We have so many areas that God is touching lives in that we just don’t keep up with the testimonies of God’s grace and the changes that happen in ministry here. So thank you WR for coming and lifting up our hands and filling needs.
All teams have been willing to do whatever is asked of them and we never hear them grumble or complain. The relationships that they develop encourage so many of our staff and contribute to the evangelistic efforts of the local people. Your teams may never realize the long term impact that they have. I want to encourage you and your teams that we see the fruit of their coming.
We will continue to accept your WR teams. We love that you have trained them to write blogs and testimonies and take excellent photographs and produce short films. We will have each of your teams you offer continue to help us in this area and in other areas of need.
Blessings
Karen
