A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.
Its funny how things work out sometimes. In February, my long term boyfriend and I broke up. My heart was broken and my social life was now going to be difficult. We shared many friends, and did almost everything together. I spent many nights crying myself to sleep…Why me? This makes no sense!
It was a hard experience, but I am thankful every day for it. This split caused me to step out of my comfort zone. There were three girls I was friendly with, but not friends with. I didn’t really need to extend myself, I had my boyfriend.
Yet, 8 months later…I can’t imagine my life without these 3 women.
They have left their offices to sit with me in the park and talk, they have discussed hard situations with me and been supportive, they helped me move out of an apt with 10 minutes notice, they read my 101 emails I send a day, they offer encouraging words, loving hearts, smiles at dinner, their own fears, their clothes when Im out of outfit choices, a cocktail at Dorrians, their time, and their non-stop constant encouragement for me on the world race!
So, like the show Sex and the City:
A sensuous and ironic sitcom about four young, desirable, virtually inseparable New York bachelor girls who lead and confide in each-other through their ever changing and confusing lives, as different as their natures.
Me: Jessica (Jessi Marquez)
Constantly narrating to the world what is going on in my life. Whether it’s on my blog www.JessiMarquez.com or www.asgoodasitsguests.com.

I like to stay involved, seek out the next big event, meet people everywhere I go and missing a night of sleep isn’t a huge deal! I am very spontaneous and will follow my heart (hence the Grace tattoo). I have dated, and been disappointed. I have trusted and been left hurt, and yet I still believe that Mr. Big will pull through.
Now on my next big adventure, The World Race…I will share with the world my experiences and how God is shaping the heart of the World.
Carrie Bradshaw : (EVERY GIRL…wants to be Carrie, and this is my blog haha so there!)
a charming petite columnist, and often the narrator of the story, either writing her copy or off screen, constantly tossing up and rejecting different views on just about anything that does or might impact modern women’s lives; she tries almost everything, is constantly disappointed, but always seems to return to a certain Mr. Big.

Lauren Nutt:
The Logical One. She gives advice on personal experience. She has no
problem telling you when you are FLAT OUT wrong (but in a nice way). She is smart and strives to work up the corporate ladder. She is a hard worker but that won’t stop her from being with you if you need a friend. She has sassy dance moves and loves to belt out “Oooh I wanna dance with somebody.”
Her heart has been hurt in the past, so let’s just say she’s not a hopele

ss romantic. She is straight forward and real when it comes to guys. She will call a spade a spade, but with a smile so its easier to take. The lucky guy that
end
s up with this one won’t ever have to deal with games…you just b
etter be a real person, and a little quirky.
Miranda Hobbes: is a red-hair lawyer determined to score professionally
and to be tough in love, yet her only faithful man is an insecure nerd. She is a good friend to Carrie and offers clear logical advice.
“S”- I have to call her S because
i don’t want anymore creepy stalkers!
haha
you have a large and sometimes strange following jessi marquez
S is the beautiful, sweet girl. She works hard and dresses well. She can fit into any
social setting with grace and people generally like her. She is a great party partner

because of her ability to woo those with her charming presence. She has a windmill dance move that is unreal and a heart of GOLD. Her moral compass is dead on, and
she won’t compromise what is right to fit in. She is great at giving advice and being compassionate. She gets really sad to see her friends sad, and loves to day dream about the futures we will have. She can curl up and watch “man eater” but only because she loves that the girl ends up happy in love in the end.
Charlotte York is a gallery-managing wasp from a prestigious, super-rich family, with high old-fashioned moral standards for her lovable self but unfortunately almost impossible to live up to for any love, whenever she can find a socially acceptable one. She has a positive outlook on life, and a great attitude.
Emilie Gidley: She is the cute little girl out. She loves knowing your stats…

where you are from, where you went to college, your sat score, where you live now. From Fairfield County…(you probably knew that already)….she knows her designer dresses (she has a lot of them) and loves Froyo at Bloomingdales. She is adorable and loves going out on the weekends to Southside or Dorrians and meeting new people. She is bold in what she wants to say, and sometimes intense she has no fear of being who she is! She is a great hostess and will warmly invite you to her roofdeck for a chat. She doesn’t settle for any ol’ guy…and even has boys invite her to the hamptons! She will do anything for her friends and will always try to give her insight. She is a ton of fun and just, well, adorable!
Samantha Jones is every feminist’s hero, and the utterly unashamed voice, when she speaks…people hear here. She is proud and loud. An acclaimed PR agent and unstoppable man-eater who can flirt without a hint of commitment, claiming this is the age for woman to do what men always did to them.
