Small and BIG. What is the difference? Besides the obvious, how much difference is there really?
Depends on the point of view.
Finite and INFINITE. What is the difference? Well most would say a lot. There is a difference, but they are more in common than you realize.
Time, space, area, length, numbers, etc….
These things can be small and they can be BIG.
They can be finite and the can be INFINITE.
BUT….they can be both in that same moment.
Take the example of length. Say there is a wall 10 meters away from you. Then I tell you to go up to the halfway distance of you and the wall. So you go to 5 meters. Then I say do it again and again till you reach the wall. 2.5 meters….1.25 meters…0.625 metres….0.3125 meters and this would go on and on and on and on up to infinity.
A finite length, yet with an infinite characteristic.
The same with time, space, area, length, numbers, etc….
All finite things, yet at the very same moment infinite. One other examples of this would be Koch’s snowflake. 
You’re probably sitting there reading this and wondering, “Did I stumble into a math lesson?”
Well no, but I love math and it is the best way that I can explain my faith and God in examples and terms that make sense to me.
We as humans are small and finite in our power and wisdom, and God is Big and Infinite in power and wisdom.
If God lives within us and works through us, then what is stopping us from doing far greater things? Why can we not as finite in our doings make an infinite impact on this world?
Well we can! God has given us the power to make a change and make a difference if we have faith in Him.
Matthew 17:20
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
So I ask you today what is $12,500 dollars to God? How hard is it for Him to provide that money? He could do that without batting an eyelash.
Right now for this trip I have $5,200. I need to have $3,800 to meet my second deadline on June 23rd. Right now I am having faith in God to provide for this trip. I know that it is in His will for me to go.
Philippians 1:6
“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
God will provide. How tho? He could just make it appear in my hands right now. But who does that affect? Only me. However God uses those who follow Him to take part in His plan. In this way many people get to share in His work.
So I come to you today to ask for your help. I ask that you have faith with me. To help me complete out God’s work He has for me. Aid me in faith the size of a mustard seed, and together we can move this world like no one has ever seen.
