Over a year ago, my sweet little cousin Sarah Carter was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Soon after, a device was placed in her brain that enabled fluid to be drained from the tumor. This method of treatment sufficed for awhile, but eventually the fluid was filling too quickly & the draining procedure was required too often.  A few weeks ago, the doctors decided it was best to remove the tumor from Sarah’s brain. So today, Thursday May 13, that is exactly what they are going to do. I’ve been learning a lot about the power of prayer this year & I can’t think of a more ideal occasion to utilize it. I have complete trust in the Lord’s sovereignty; yet, also, believe that He calls us to come before Him with our requests. Therefore, I am asking all of you to take a moment or two out of your day to pray for Sarah. Pray for her complete & total healing. Pray that she will be comfortable & at peace during the procedure. Pray for all the doctors & nurses who will be involved with her surgery. Pray for their wisdom, discernment, & care for every step taken. Pray for her parents, Kirby & Laura, & her brother, Taylor. Pray that they are all covered with a divine peace today.

Throughout this trial, Sarah has exemplified faith far beyond what her 12 year old body would imply. She has remained positive, happy, & boldly claiming the Lords plan for her life. I truly believe that God has used her tumor to bring glory to His name. I have seen unshakeable faith well within her brother & parents. Her story has brought hundreds to their knees in prayer. She is living a life of faith that is an incredible example to those she encounters. So gather around your friends, family, co-workers or whoever you might be with today & pray. Thank the Lord for the amazing ways He has already used Sarah & will continue to do so.

Sarah, when you read this, know that you are fully supported & covered today. You are an incredible little girl & I admire your strength. Your faith will move mountains, sweet girl. I love you.
