I apologize about the lack of blogs while I’ve been gone, the Internet has been so bad!
This past month God moved in huge ways and I can’t wait to share!

We were at a camp called El Puente with a man we called Brother Lucho. It was all squad month so all 40 of us were together, sleeping in our tents on a basketball court, taking ice cold showers and cooking all our food on 4 small propane stoves in a pool house. We pulled rocks out of the most beautiful river to later be laid around the camp as pathways.

This month I asked God to feel his love. I knew it was there but I didn’t feel it. I was blown away by him! God used others on my team, squad and even strangers to show me His love for me.
When I was sick friends would come check on me or bring me food. When I was sad someone would sit down and truly care about what was wrong. And when I was home sick my email was flooded with words of encouragement and prayers from family back home.
One day when a squad mate was very sick we prayed over her. I felt the Holy Spirit pushing me to pray so I did. Afterwards, the Lord told me, “this is the gift I have for you”. Now the night before I had read 1 Corinthians 12 and asked God to reveal my spiritual gift to me. Also, while we were praying I had a vision of all these angels coming down and surrounding our group wrapped in their wings protecting and comforting us (many of us were sick this month).
We did a “12 hours of prayer” one night and I sat in the middle of the soccer field and cried. I confessed sins, I told God my dreams, and told him my fears. It was a turning point in my relationship with Him. I woke up with so much joy for life and love for others.
My goal for the month was to be intentional with my squad mates so each day I sought someone out to get to know and learn about. Another goal was to dive deep into the Bible. Although these things were “checked off” both are on-going relationships that require intentionality to continue.
This month was one of learning and growing. We are in Peru now and I hope it continues here as well! Thank you for all the love, support, and prayers! And thanks for reading!
