Supporter, reader, prayer warrior,

Thank you. A thousand times THANK YOU!!

This time last year I was waiting for the acceptance letter to this World Race. While I was pumped and dreaming of the adventure I would embark on, I was internally thinking, “God, umm this is a whole lot of money.” And through that fear God taught me that regardless of how many hours I try to work in one week or how many jobs I attempt to cram into a day, this was a time for me to release my pride and allow the body of Christ to come in and support me.

This was hard for me: to let go of my pride that I could not do this alone, to trust that God would provide every need and to ask people for help. Well, after getting a bad case of strep, exhausting myself physically and depriving myself of the Sabbath that is required to acknowledge the goodness of God, I decided to surrender. And reader, it has been a sweet surrender.

I have not spent one day on this race worrying or stressing about my finance account. That is not only because I reluctantly surrendered, it is because you took up the call to participate and acknowledged the purpose of global missions. (While you do that with so many other missionaries and organizations, I am so grateful you choose to support me.) You have blessed me and I am so thankful for each one of you.

I feel your prayers and love your emails and encouraging Facebook posts also. I can’t wait to share what has happened through the power of your prayers but I want to conclude by saying this: thanks to your prayers and support, I am FULLY FUNDED!! That’s right, three months earlier than the deadline! Boooo-Yeahh!! Praise God!  Thank you!
