1.6 million children are in the workforce in Nepal
Girls have it the worst
Every year 16 000 boys and girls are stolen and sold into the slavery of the workforce or trafficked into brothels
Many become pregnant
come into contact with AIDS
and have abortions.
Children living in the Himalayas are fortunate if they live to see their teen years
Half will DIE before their 8th birthday
Many parents won’t even name their children before their 5th birthday
1 out of 5 will die before the age of 1
These numbers are BIG and are devastating.
But something I have realized over the course of this year is that our numbers are BIGGER
The Christian community around the world is growing !
So PLEASE join with me and pray !
Even if you are not a Christian I encourage you to pray! Ask God to send his love upon this country. What do you got to loose?
Pray for..
Nepal’s economical and governmental well being
The thousands of children currently at risk of sickness disease and being taken from there own homes
The missionaries who have left being wealth, family, comfort and status to bring light and love to this country
They can be asked to leave at any moment by the government
Pray that the laws and restrictions that are continuously put on visas, childrens homes and businesses will decrease
That villages and slums can get proper knowledge of health care, sanitation and receive a good education
Pray that border control allows more questioning stations in order to rescue women and children before they are turned over to a life of rape, abuse and labor
This is the truth that I have found out after being in Nepal for only 1 week. I have met some of the most amazing people who have joined together with the body of Christ here in Nepal to bring light, hope, and freedom. Most of these people go without receiving any recognition, thanks or praise for what they do in order to keep low profiles here. They are unsung heroes who have come to be a voice for the voiceless and to fight for the freedom that is fully deserved of these women and children.
Out of all my blogs this is probably one of my most urgent and biggest requests. All I ask is that you PRAY
