Sometimes we just don’t understand what in the world God is doing. Doesn’t He know me at all? Why is this happening to me? Why do I have to go through this pain?
Beloved, God loves you more than you could ever think or feel or imagine! He wants His likeness to be found in you! He does not simply want to come into your life and cover up all the bad, NO! He wants to ABLOLISH it! Rid your life of all the past pain, hurt and sins. He wants to transform your heart into His!
It says in 1 Peter 1:6-7, “In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ”
My friend, it is so necessary that we go through these trials! This is how God draws us in closer to Himself, to become the likeness of Him. Our faith is MORE precious than gold, it is everlasting.
Oh Beloved, how amazing is our God that He knows us for who we are and still loves us and wants to draw us nearer?
God’s promise to us in Deuteronomy 31:6 is this, “ Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
A silversmith’s job is a very tedious one. In order for the silver to become pliable and molded, it has to be put through fire at a very high temperature. The silversmith must stay with the silver the whole time; watching and making sure nothing goes wrong. The silversmith will know when to take it out of the fire when he can see his reflection in the metal.
If you didn’t see it coming well here it is, GOD IS OUR SILVERSMITH! He puts us through the fire, the trials and pain, BUT He never leaves us. He is always there ever step of the way and will never give us more than we can handle. And when He pulls us out, it is when He sees His reflection in us. And this is what brings glory to His name, the power at work within us! It is nothing we have done, but surrender all, let go and LET GOD!
Beloved, God loves you. He is not disappointed in you, He rejoices over you with singing (Zeph 3:17). Do not be afraid of the trials, and do not be discouraged, but rejoice in them! Rejoice in the change God is making in your life! Rejoice in His divine power that is at work within you!
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you” –Isaiah 43:2
My prayer is this, What He loves, I want to love. What breaks His heart, mine will break also. Where He wants me, I will go.
