Hello to all my supporters, friends, and family! This month I am currently in Rwanda for month 9 of the race! I am currently $1,513 away from being fully funded and have 2 months left to raise this amount. I ask that each of you prayerfully consider donating any amount towards this trip. God has been on the move in Africa and my heart has been anxiously awaiting the day I can fully share that I am fully funded. For those that have already donated, thank you so much! I hope that you are blessed by this blog post!

This month we are living in a village outside of a town called Nygatare. This village is one of the clearest representations of living life in Africa without the luxuries that we may be accustomed to. We live in a rural village with hundreds of hellos as we walk past the road and shouts of “mzungu” or white person! It has been a blast to learn the norms of this country and the joys of living a simplistic lifestyle. The people in this village need to go out and search for their clean water resources at a nearby well that has been created using solar power. They must go with a number of jugs and go up a hill until they reach their home. It really puts things into perspective and the ways we use our endless supply of water in our households. We’ve been also helping out at Samaritan International School and teaching English courses. This school is giving so much into the future of these kids, and we pray that as the school grows so will the participants for sponsorship. If you would be interested in potentially sponsoring a child from this school please feel free to inbox me with questions or I could personally send you contact information.

The title of this blog post states from evangelist to preacher because that’s exactly what’s happened this month. One of my spiritual gifting’s is evangelism and I have found true love for the different ways a person can evangelize to an unbeliever. However, this month I have found myself tapping into the gift of preaching in a congregation, hospital, and schools. Although, speaking in public isn’t one of my favorite things to do, the Lord has met me in my struggle and unknown to preach with confidence and surpassing peace. The Lord has been teaching me how even though preaching is being done by the words we speak, none of what is being said comes from our doing. The Holy Spirit gives us what to say and how to say it. I have loved tapping into this spiritual gift and seeing my excitement for it grow just as much as evangelism! I was able to preach a total of 4 different times at the church along in schools and hospitals. I would encourage each of you to tap into a spiritual gift you don’t have and see how God will meet you through it! Who knows, you may find out a new gift you love!

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy,in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching;  the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
