Happy New Year from Guatemala! This year I rang in the new year in Antigua, and it was one of the most spectacular views ever! We had such a breathtaking view and it probably was the best New Year’s!
This month we are in Quiche, Guatemala! Most of the population are indigenous and they wear their Mayan outfits. Everything here is colorful and bright. You become so emerged into the culture as people walk around speaking their dialect and watch moto taxis just drive by everywhere. The Mayan culture unfortunately are still accustomed to a belief of different gods and witchcraft. They have specific stations where they either bring a sacrifice for a need they have or a place to curse someone’s life. This is something that is heartbreaking as these people are living with the belief in something that is not real. We are currently finishing a painting project for our host as they will be moving out of the current house they are living in. We will be doing ministry with policemen, teaching, and outreach for young adults and kids. We’ve been really blessed to be here as our teams have been flooded with awe and inspiration from our host. Their faith and dependence on God is unbreakable! We’ve also had some amazing food this month- here are a few to name off… tamales, chuchitos, tostadas with beans, Salvadorian chicken soup and that’s only a few I’ve named! This fresh new year is opening to all kinds of adventures and exciting stories to be shared!

Wow, the Lord has been on the move! Thank you all who donated towards my trip! I’m already 71% funded! This is nothing of what I’ve done, but your generous donations and allowing me to complete the calling God has lead me for this year. I need $4747 left till I am fully funded!!
